I have a set of diesel and gasoline hydrogenation equipment; the heating rate and thermal efficiency are low. It’s a vertical furnace, and the furnace tubes suffer from uneven heating, with too high flue gas temperatures. How can I effectively recover the waste heat? I’m seeking solutions
Why not use the waste heat from catalysis to reduce the furnace’s consumption?
For the previous flue gas waste heat recovery system, it was necessary to control the oxygen level and adjust the combustion conditions of each burner so that they were consistent, preventing the flames from reaching directly the furnace tubes
Could it be that the pressure behind the valve is too low, resulting in incomplete combustion which leads to secondary combustion in the convection chamber? The CO content in the flue gases can be analyzed to determine this
1. Adjust the gas-to-air ratio to eliminate secondary combustion. 2. Install superheated steam lines and air preheating lines in the convection chamber to recover waste heat. 3. Check the burner settings to prevent the flame from directly hitting the furnace tubes. 4. Adjust the gas pressure so that the flame has multiple nozzles, a short length, and an even appearance. 5. Observe the flame combustion on-site, aiming for a flame that is bright but not glaring; if the flame is dim and red with smoke, it indicates incomplete combustion, while a flickering and glaring flame suggests excessive air supply.
