As the vanguard in handling safety accidents at facilities, improving the accident response capabilities of teams is of paramount importance for ensuring the safe and stable operation of these facilities. We conduct an accident drill once a year, with each person using a fire extinguisher, and we emphasize a specific scenario in the monthly meetings.

To achieve continuous and long-term influence on minds, training is essential! This is really crucial. For example, conduct a hypothetical accident scenario once a week or per shift, have each shift respond in writing (since we don’t have time to carry out drills all the time), and then award points to various shifts as part of their performance evaluation. As for drills, I think two to three times a year is sufficient, but they must not be done just for show; we need to consider what would happen in reality and conduct the drills accordingly. In short, one must be prepared for danger in times of peace, and make preparations for war during normal times, remaining ready at all times. In particular, the team leader must always keep in mind the plans for dealing with various accidents.
It is necessary to be familiar with the operating procedures and able to use them skillfully, and supervision through assessments is required to reinforce this. Strengthen accident drills, emphasize the process of these drills, require every employee to prepare a summary of them so they can draw lessons from them, and use examinations to verify their understanding.

Holding a pre-shift meeting to inform employees of the basic production situation in advance is an effective approach; especially in cases of equipment maintenance or abnormal weather conditions that affect production, it’s useful to briefly outline the strategies to take so that everyone can be prepared. 4. Accident analysis meetings: The past should serve as a lesson for the future; lessons learned through bloodshed are always more memorable.
