I’m seeking help from fellow maritime professionals: how are internal floating roof storage tanks classified based on the type of floating disk? What is the difference between shallow-dish internal floating roof storage tanks and other types of internal floating roof storage tanks? If you have any pictures or schematic diagrams, please take a screenshot and share it; I would be extremely grateful.

The fire separation distance for internal floating roof storage tanks is related to the type of floating deck. May I ask which types have the same fire separation distance as those with fixed roofs, and which ones differ?

As a new generation of oil workers at the new refinery, I have never seen this type of shallow-dish internal floating roof; it seems to have been phased out by now. So far, most of those seen are pontoon-type.
Since your definition specifies a steel floating roof, aluminum ones certainly aren’t shaped like shallow trays.
Question 1: An internal floating roof tank is simply that – an internal floating roof tank; there is no difference in the tank itself. There are several structural types for modular internal floating roofs, with the triangular shape being the most common, followed by the grid structure, as well as other variations such as the liquid-contacting type (also known as the sandwich type) and the box-shaped floating roof. Question 2: The shallow-disk type features a steel inner floating disk, which is an integrated inner floating disk made by welding steel plates; it is prefabricated and installed on-site, and is basically a product that has been phased out. The internal floating discs mentioned above are all made of aluminum alloy or stainless steel; they are internal floating discs that are produced by accessory factories and assembled on-site. The standard fire separation distance is relatively small; fire safety requirements dictate the use of floating pads made from materials with high melting points, such as steel or stainless steel floating pads. Aluminum alloy floating pads, with their low melting points, cannot be used.
The steel internal floating discs manufactured on-site are generally of the shallow-disc type or double-disc type.
