ASME B31.3 uses B to indicate the minimum service temperature for steel

Hello everyone, I have been studying ASME B31.3 recently. In this standard, the minimum operating temperature for A106-B steel is denoted by the letter B. What does this mean? It’s extremely urgent – please help me out!

In other words, the minimum operating temperature for A106B is related to the wall thickness; and according to the curve in Figure 323.2.2A, the minimum temperature for A106B is only minus 10°C, which seems a bit incorrect
The last edit to this post was made by Chow Tai Fook on 2015-7-16 at 10:09. That’s incorrect; you’re looking at Curve A, right? You yourself said earlier that the lowest temperature for A106B is B; therefore, it’s necessary to look at curve B, and the lowest temperature can reach -29°C.
