Selection of analytical instruments for gasification units in coal-to-oil production

For the component analysis of gasification units in indirect coal-to-oil processes, analytical instruments are required; as far as I know, techniques such as gas chromatography, infrared plus thermal conductivity analysis, mass spectrometry (which is generally not used), and spectroscopy can be employed for such testing. Have you all heard of laser Raman spectroscopy? What are the manufacturers’ brands, and what is their performance? It would be great to have a specific cost-benefit analysis; I hope for guidance from experts who have worked on similar projects.
