For KG-TOWER, what does the tray spacing refer to: the spacing from the upper tray or the spacing from the lower tray? Please help me out, experts!
Plate spacing refers to the distance between the upper and lower plates!
I used Aspen to calculate the liquid and gas phase data for the ninth tray, in order to verify the hydrodynamic data and see whether the tower meets the requirements. The question is: is the tray spacing the distance between the eighth and ninth tray, or between the ninth and tenth tray?
Generally, NET VAPOR or NET LIQUID is provided, that is, vapor from and liquid from. But hydraulics requires vapor to and liquid from. Therefore, if there is no material in or out, please select the vapor data of the next plate and the liquid data of the current plate. If there is material intake and output, please draw a schematic diagram of it. . . . But ordinary towers are quite easy to handle. Unless it’s the large towers in oil refining. . . Atmospheric and vacuum distillation columns, the main stream from catalytic cracking, the main stream from hydroprocessing, and the most extreme main stream from coking. It’s better for non-professionals to give up on calculating these towers.
