Can flameproof instruments be connected directly? Is no additional isolation card needed?
That’s what I remember; I hope Haiyou can give a definite answer
Generally, there is no need for an isolation card; it can be installed directly
I usually install it directly, but in particularly dangerous situations, I use a Zener safety barrier instead
It can be connected directly; explosion protection can be understood as simply imposing higher requirements on the instrument’s enclosure, in order to prevent external ignition in the event of sparks or explosions occurring inside.
Just install it directly and that’s it. :) Here, the explosion-proof design is implemented through direct installation.
Flameproof instruments can be connected directly; no safety barrier is required. Only intrinsically safe instruments necessitate the use of a safety barrier! As for isolation, that is another issue and has nothing to do with the explosion-proof type. If your field instruments are powered by 220VAC, it is recommended that you install an isolator. It is not recommended to use isolation cards, as they are of little use since they cannot replace isolators.
