As the title suggests, is it necessary to install a filter before a bimetallic steam trap? Which steam traps come with a filtering function?
The bimetallic steam traps we use all come equipped with a filter screen.
It depends on the brand; we’ve always used Spayshake, as they all come with a filter
Unless your steam quality is excellent and there is no welding slag falling off in the pipes, a filter may not be necessary under these conditions
A basket filter can be added on the front end
