I would like to ask the experts: does anyone know how much naphtha is required to produce dienes (ethylene and propylene) through naphtha cracking? How many tons of naphtha are needed to produce 1 ton of olefins, and what are the operating costs involved? Secondly, with current low oil prices, is it still profitable to produce olefins from naphtha? I look forward to your advice! Thank you!
Hello, this is quite old data. With oil prices being so low now, how should we recalculate the costs of naphtha cracking? Furthermore, as the feedstocks used in pyrolysis are becoming lighter in weight, some alkanes are added during the pyrolysis process; therefore, the costs can no longer be calculated in the same way as before. Thank you!
It’s still 40 dollars per barrel higher than crude oil
