Gentle experts, does anyone know how many tons of naphtha are required to produce 1 ton of olefins, and what is the approximate operating cost? With low oil prices currently, is naphtha cracking profitable (given the high import consumption tax)? I hope those who know the answer can offer some guidance; thank you!
Naphtha is fed into a catalytic reprocessing unit, with a conversion rate of around 50%.

The original poster had better take a look at the book on ethylene engineering; it contains tables showing the proportions of olefins produced from different cracking feedstocks. Although they aren’t entirely accurate, they should be sufficient for reference. Additionally, to estimate the processing costs, it is necessary to conduct a material balance; if one is not the deputy production manager of an ethylene cracking plant or the cost accountant at an ethylene factory, it is difficult to provide such figures.
