TRICON system issues

I’m seeking help from experts. Our SIS system uses the TRICON system, and in recent months we’ve been experiencing random malfunction alerts related to card issues every few weeks. It’s not possible to collect any error information using the diagnostic software, but the problem is resolved each time the cards are reinserted. There was once a situation where none of the DI/DO cards gave any alerts, but the power card connected to the control card did; after thorough troubleshooting, the issue was resolved by reinserting the remote DI cards. I was looking at forums recently and wondering if it has something to do with the grounding of the field instruments; if so, how can I troubleshoot it? Thank you~ Source: TRICON system issue

Why can’t the error messages be collected? Some faults can be reset through endm. The alarm from the power supply module is not caused by a problem with the module itself, but rather by other alarms in the system. You’re providing too little information; it’s difficult to help you. Ask questions as in detail as possible; for example: model number, and which specific alarm indicator lights are activated

It’s hard to find out the reason! It could be caused by interference! It does not affect usage! But the card fault alarm will be downgraded~ it won’t be SIL3 anymore

Try using the ‘clear fault’ function in EDM; if that doesn’t work, collect diagnostic data (.tce file) and send it to them. The alarms related to the power supply module are system-wide alarms, including those related to the rack, card slots, temperature control, etc. It’s not necessarily a problem with the card slots. The last issue has nothing to do with the grounding of the instruments on site

It might be related to the rack grounding; also, check whether all your communication cards are configured with network cables connected and functioning properly

We often encounter this problem here – the DI or DO cards keep triggering alarms. Sometimes the software manages to resolve the issue, but the alarms reappear after a short while. Other times it’s not possible to resolve the problem and the card has to be replaced. Congisen’s response was to send the card back to the United States for testing, with the conclusion that there was nothing wrong with it; in the end, nothing was done about it. So it seems that foreign-made SIS systems aren’t as good as those made in China, even though they’re supposed to be superior……

The Conson system is quite stable; for some issues or alarms, simply unplugging and replugging it resolves the problem

With the system online and powered on, is it okay to plug in or remove cards upstairs?: L
