Crude benzene has a high chlorine content

Recently, the crude benzene we sell has also been found by the manufacturer to have an excessive chlorine content. I would like to ask the experts: what causes an excessive chlorine level in crude benzene? The chlorine content in benzene is currently 13 ppm
Under the same circumstances, in the three production departments, this occurs once from time to time, on average once every two months. I’m checking now to see if the degreasing agent has a high chlorine content Another possibility is a leak in the circulating water system, but I don’t think that’s likely.

The finished crude benzene contained high levels of chloride ions; we encountered this issue as well. Upon investigation, it was found that the steam quality was substandard, which can also be interpreted as inadequate water treatment.
