The synthetic cycle gas still contains trace amounts of oil after oil separation. What changes occur to the oil after entering the synthesis tower? Will it be taken out of the synthesis tower? In the liquid ammonia obtained through cold exchange separation in ammonia synthesis, where does the trace amount of oil come from?
I’m not very familiar with the processes and techniques involved. Previously, I thought that liquid ammonia would contain refrigeration oil.
Agree with the person above. Additionally, under the conditions of ammonia synthesis, a small amount of carbides may form hydrocarbons and be carried away with the ammonia.

The synthetic system oil consists of three parts. 1. Fresh air supplied under compression. 2. Lubrication of bearings by the oil injector in the turbine cycle machine. 3. Internal small circulation in the ice maker. Generally speaking, compressed fresh gas is more likely to contain oil, so oil removal measures should be strengthened ; When the turbine drains oil on schedule, it generally does not carry too much oil.

We are the alcohol alkylation process. So it’s impossible to compress with oil. The chiller freezing is a separate refrigeration system. I mean, after oiling the synthesis cycle machine, what reactions will occur when the trace amounts of oil carried by the circulating gas into the high-temperature catalyst in the synthesis tower?
Many ammonia synthesis plants use reciprocating compressors, and these compressors are oil-lubricated.
Under normal circumstances, oil entering the synthesis tower should coker, and since the chiller system is a separate system, the ammonia-containing oil and the oil coming out of the heat exchanger should not originate from here. Oil is also separated out in the water cooling, which indicates that the oil entering the syngas system cannot be due to an ammonia cooling leak. Possible explanations: 1. The syngas entering the synthesis tower contains too high a level of oil ; 2. Oil was produced as a result of the reaction in the synthesis tower! 3. Of course, there may be other reasons as well.
