Were the holes and protrusions at the inlet and outlet flanges of the water pump cast using molds, or were they machined from blanks later on?

Are the inlet and outlet plugs, as well as the water injection plug, also processed later on?
All of this you mentioned must have been processed later.
It should be casting first, then forging, and finally machining.
The boss is cast, while the bolt holes are machined
