We maintain online analyzers for thermoelectric steam chemical dosing systems. The ion exchange column resin used in the pre-treatment of online analyzers needs to be replaced once a week; otherwise, the conductivity will be too high. The frequency is too high, resulting in a large workload. I would like to ask the experts in chemical analysis to help identify what is causing this issue and find a solution. Thank you first!
The reasons are one or more of the following: 1. Insufficient purity of the water treated upstream, with a high amount of ionic impurities remaining in the water; 2. The capacity of the ion exchange resin columns or beds is too low; 3. Improper packing of the ion exchange resin columns or beds, resulting in channeling; 4. Significant seepage and leakage from the pipes and containers in contact with the water, causing contamination
