The vibration isn’t severe; wouldn’t a shielded pump be better, as it eliminates leaks!
Do you mean to use a pipeline shielded pump? Is that what you mean?
Our unit uses vertical shielded pumps, with light oil as the medium.
I think as long as the net positive suction head and head requirement are met, there should be no problem

Vertical pumps are good – they don’t require priming, are less prone to cavitation, have decent sealing, and are not prone to vibration. Cage pumps are very expensive; they are not used in the chemical industry, so there is no need to use them. In case of a leak, it’s not a problem as it won’t affect inspection and maintenance. If you have the money, you can add an inverter, which makes operation easier and more convenient
