I would like to ask fellow sailors: for a Class A factory building constructed with steel structures, where the second-floor floor is covered with patterned steel plates, is it necessary to have a non-combustible floor? If we need to do it, how should we proceed?
The floor in explosion-proof areas is made of non-sparking material, usually by applying an epoxy coating. However, grid systems have not been seen to use this approach; galvanized steel grids are generally chosen. If it must be done, epoxy coating is recommended.
Each specific issue should be addressed individually; for Category A items, rotational molding or spraying can be considered to ensure good corrosion protection, and any areas that peel off later should be repaired promptly
