Who can tell me which stainless steels are resistant to low temperatures: handshake
Ordinary austenitic stainless steels can all operate at temperatures below -100°C. . .
I want to know about stainless steel that can withstand temperatures below -196°; that’s what truly counts as low-temperature resistance

Materials with high nickel content exhibit a significantly lower transition temperature for low-temperature embrittlement, along with a markedly improved low-temperature impact toughness. Check the chemical composition of the material, as well as its properties. 316 material can be used in low-temperature environments.

For low-temperature applications, 9Ni steel or low-temperature steels such as 09MnNiDR are reliable choices

The lowest operating temperature for austenitic stainless steel is -253°C. It’s not about whether the material is reliable or not. . . Choose appropriate materials for the temperature, medium, etc.
