Why are the torch branch pipes inserted obliquely into the main pipe? Is there any other reason besides the impact on the pipes?
The 45-degree miter joint requirement; another point is to reduce resistance, which is an empirical rule.
This cannot be avoided just by using a 45-degree angle joint.
Reducing resistance – impact is also one of them. Powders also require one approach to reduce resistance and another to minimize dust accumulation and prevent static electricity accidents. If it’s less than or equal to 40, it’s not necessary to insert it at an angle; oh, right.
The condensate can flow by gravity into the flare header.
It can reduce the resistance of the flare gas and prevent backpressure after the flare valve.
