Xinjiang Dongfang Hope Non-ferrous Metals Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the large Chinese private enterprise Dongfang Hope Group. It was established on December 30, 2010, in the Zhundong Economic Development Zone in Changji Prefecture, Xinjiang. Phase 1 of the project, with an annual production capacity of 800,000 tons of electrolytic aluminum, began construction in early 2011 and went into operation that same year. The overall plan for the Dongfang Hope Industrial Park includes projects such as 2.4 million tons of electrolytic aluminum production, 1.2 million tons of aluminum anode carbon, power generation units with a capacity of 4,200 MW, 1.3 million tons of value-added aluminum products, 450,000 tons of industrial silicon, and 30,000 tons of polysilicon. Once fully completed, it will become a super-large modern circular economy industrial park that integrates coal, aluminum, electricity, carbon products, industrial silicon, coal chemical industry, and advanced aluminum processing. Xinjiang Xiliu is one of the key enterprises in this field. By the end of 2014, Xinjiang Xili had achieved an output value of nearly 10 billion yuan, with the output value expected to reach 15 billion yuan in 2015. Dongfang Hope is headquartered in Pudong, Shanghai. There are over 150 existing enterprises, with 18,000 employees, and an annual output value of nearly 70 billion yuan. Dongfang Hope continues to develop and becomes one of the top 500 Chinese enterprises. The group’s agriculture division currently has 101 subsidiaries dealing in feed and lysine, etc., located in most provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions in China, as well as in Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, and other countries. The group’s heavy chemical industry is involved in areas such as electricity, non-ferrous metals, biochemistry, coal chemistry, chlor-alkali chemistry, petrochemicals, mining, and building materials. Large-scale heavy and chemical industry plants such as thermal power plants, aluminum electrolysis plants, alumina plants, methanol plants, dimethyl ether plants, PVC plants, PTA plants, and cement plants have been built in Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Chongqing, Henan, Shandong, and other regions.
