How to treat phosphorus in sludge during biochemical treatment

Our company has a set of biochemical treatment facilities designed primarily to remove COD from wastewater. At the beginning of the bacterial cultivation process, sludge brought in from the sewage treatment plant was used for this purpose; after one month, the COD level in the wastewater had dropped to normal levels. However, the phosphorus level did not decrease, remaining at 30 ppm (there is no phosphorus in the wastewater generated by our production equipment). It was later determined that the sludge brought in from the sewage treatment plant contained phosphorus. The technical team suggested that increasing the amount of water used could help reduce the phosphorus level, but even after two months of doing so, the phosphorus level still hadn’t decreased. It is confirmed that there is no phosphorus in our raw wastewater. Our wastewater treatment capacity is 60 tons per day, with an actual amount of wastewater generated being 30 tons per day. Do any of you have any effective methods to remove the phosphorus from the sludge as quickly as possible? Thank you!
