Recently, the pressure difference in the pre-reactor has increased; the flow rate of the recycle hydrogen compressor cannot be raised. The pressure difference rises slightly whenever the temperature of the evaporator increases. Why is that? Is it coking of the reactor catalyst? Please help!

It is likely caused by coking of the catalyst inside the reactor, but it is necessary to thoroughly analyze the reasons – checking whether there have been any changes in the raw materials recently, and what the rate of increase in pressure difference is
The quality of our raw materials is quite poor; we have about 10 days!

The pressure difference across the catalyst bed is related to the following factors: 1. Catalyst coking, 2. Collapse at the top of the catalyst, 3. Reduction in gaps due to catalyst crushing, 4. Blockages caused by solid particle impurities in the feedstock.

1. Accumulation of liquid in the pre-reactor. Second, catalyst coking. Third, blockage in the heat exchanger for reacting feed.
We are also facing such a problem now. May I ask how you guys solve it? Thank you for your reply
