Hello everyone, how long does the entire process take for a safety valve to start opening, reach full open position, and then close again? Are there any relevant introductions or examples? I suddenly thought of this question; I’m not sure if it has any practical value, especially in terms of design or product selection. I hope everyone can share their opinions.
I don’t think there’s a specific time limit. The discharge time should be related to the capacity of the container as well as the diameter of the safety valve.
A safety valve ensures that the pressure inside a container does not exceed a set value; if it does, the valve opens to reduce the pressure within the container. Therefore, the discharge time is related to the container pressure, container size, set pressure, and the throat diameter of the safety valve; the specific time depends on the actual operating conditions on site.
There shouldn’t be a fixed time limit; it’s only possible to return to normal once the pressure within the system has been relieved! ! ! ! ! ! !
What is said about the first and second floors makes sense, but it is all based on quantitative considerations. Since the discharge volume when the safety valve activates is not fixed, it is meaningless to discuss the entire process time under a fixed discharge volume.
