Can pipe threads provide sealing? Can ordinary threads also prevent leakage by providing sealing?
Some threads cannot achieve sealing and pressure resistance, such as G threads.
Add a rubber washer, and that’s it.
Yes, both M and G threads are straight threads, using end-face sealing.
I was scammed once, during a pipeline pressure test – the pressure couldn’t be maintained.
For straight threads like those on pressure gauges and thermometers, the end face must have a platform with shims.

Ordinary threads can also be sealed; for example, a gasket can be placed under the thread to achieve sealing (this applies to the movable threads of bimetallic thermometers). Another option is to use a gasket that is fitted over the thread teeth, thereby sealing against the sealing surface at the root of the thread teeth. I’m the manufacturer, hahaha
I’m facing a problem: I need to create a waterproof sensor, and cables need to pass through it. There isn’t enough space for waterproof connectors on those cables, so I really don’t know what to do
