From a few years ago to the present, I have purchased one multi-functional fan and a Huawei phone from JD.com; whereas other items such as heaters, clothing, shoes and hats, electronic products, various books, fitness equipment, etc., were all bought from Taobao (including Tmall). The ratio between these two platforms is roughly 2:27. Price: Taobao wins by 90%. Shipping speed: JD.com is far superior (this is what matters to me; I only buy when I need something urgently and the prices are similar). Quality: Just so-so. Variety: Taobao has the edge. The most avid shopper in our company (male – incredible, right?) buys at least three items per week, sometimes even seven in a day. He isn’t short of money; he just likes to shop. The reason he buys online is to save money and effort – why not do that? Everything from screws to air conditioners and refrigerators is covered. Working with such bargain hunters is crazy too.
Jingdong can no longer be paid with Alipay recently
I really hadn’t noticed that. Usually, payment is made upon delivery, and since the goods arrive the next day, that’s why I choose this option. I’ve hardly ever paid in advance, so I’m not very familiar with this practice. Judging from this year’s shopping experience, I have the feeling that products are becoming less affordable than before. There are some items that are sold in flagship stores, and their prices are significantly higher than those of similar products offered elsewhere; I won’t give specific examples to avoid any bias. These stores do have their advantages, but there are fewer and fewer of them.
I just checked my orders from the past year. . It turns out to be quite wasteful. . The spending on TB and JD is roughly 1:1, with the total amount accounting for about one-third of annual income. . . Among them, TB mainly refers to household items and materials used for making sand molds, etc. . . There’s also some food and stuff. . . JD mainly deals in digital products and some items that need to be delivered quickly, but the latter are few; most of the items are digital products, and buying from JD ensures authenticity. . There might be many counterfeit TB products, so I dare not buy it. . .
This is what a person who knows how to get things done looks like – spending money where it counts. One-third isn’t much at all; the monthly salary spent by our company manager accounts for almost two-thirds.
1/3 is still a bit much. . Cutting expenses a bit more will leave more money. . .
I have been implementing austerity measures, fearing that if I contribute too much to online merchants, I won’t have enough resources and energy left to support myself.
It seems like when I buy small items online, it doesn’t cost that much either. . But the annual consumption is still quite high. . . I need to control my spending from now on too. . .
We usually accept payment upon delivery. . . . . . . . . . . . .
I’m already a Diamond member of JD.com, and it seems like JD.com is moving in the direction of KFC, aiming to build its own brand
Everyone has their own preferences; those that are used more often inevitably develop a special connection to them. That’s why the customer bases for different companies vary. Supporting JD.com’s standardized management approach means that the prices aren’t as favorable.
