What are the requirements for the quality of samples taken for hot work analysis?
The samples must be representative; the sampling pipes and equipment should be thoroughly cleaned three times before sampling. The amount of sample collected should be sufficient for analysis and for keeping as a reserve sample. Analysis should be carried out promptly after sampling
1. Purge the sampling device with nitrogen before use; replace it if it is severely contaminated. 2. The samples should be representative in terms of both space and time; one sample should be taken at the location where welding is being performed, and another at the location where potential hazards exist. It must be timely, with the sampling frequency determined based on the level of hot work. 3. If there are flammable or explosive sources within the specified area at the welding site, or if ventilation has not been provided, sampling may be refused; sampling should be carried out only after the necessary preparations have been made.
Our approach is to take samples from multiple locations, and continuous sampling is required to ensure accuracy and eliminate any risks.
