An underwater orifice plate is a flat orifice plate installed in the water chamber; through the throttling effect of the small holes, a vapor cushion is formed beneath the orifice plate, allowing the bubbles to pass through it evenly and be distributed uniformly across the width of the steam drum. Additionally, the submersible orifice plate also serves to eliminate the kinetic energy of the vapor-water mixture. The uniform vapor orifice plates are installed in the vapor space; they utilize the throttling effect of the orifices to ensure that steam is distributed evenly along the length and width of the drum. This prevents localized concentration of steam load, thus enabling more efficient use of the vapor space, reducing the steam rise velocity, and facilitating gravitational separation. It can also block some small water droplets, serving a certain role in fine separation.
