Dear experts, I’ve come across a project where the client is engaged in sludge drying. The odors generated during this process need to be dealt with, and the waste gas has already been subjected to two stages of dust removal treatment. I would like to ask how to deal with bad odors? Components: ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, methanethiol, dimethyl sulfide. Concentration unknown.
Can it be absorbed using spray water, by drawing it out with an exhaust fan?
Water curtain dust removal, alkaline washing, and activated carbon adsorption.
Activated carbon adsorption doesn’t work; in high temperature and humidity conditions, use biological filtration by lowering the temperature to 60 degrees
Collect it using an exhaust fan, wash it with sodium hydroxide, and then treat it with activated carbon absorption – that’s about it

The simple approach is spraying combined with activated carbon; several types of spraying solutions can be tried, such as alkaline solutions like sodium hydroxide, and oxidizing agents like hydrogen peroxide, sodium dichloroisocyanurate, sodium hypochlorite, etc.
Both biological and plasma methods are applied in corresponding treatment cases.

Two stages of spray absorption have already been carried out earlier, so further washing is pointless.
