For a 400KW plate heat exchanger, with water temperatures of 85/75 or 75/65, I asked two manufacturers to do the calculations; one estimated a capacity of 20 square meters while the other estimated 10 square meters. Could someone expert help with these calculations? My own calculations also suggest that 10 square units should be sufficient; I’m too hesitant to buy the components and assemble the system if I’m not sure
It depends on your heat transfer coefficient; if K is 4000, then 10 square meters will be sufficient
I can’t just pick 4000 as the K value for plate heat exchangers when doing calculations, right?

It’s a very simple heat transfer calculation – 10㎡ is sufficient; the logarithmic temperature difference is 10, and the heat transfer coefficient is above 4000
