What are the quality specifications for methanol, the raw material used in MTO?
Water content, fusel oil content, alkali metal content, other common indicators (chloride ions, ammonia nitrogen, heavy metals, waxes)
Chromaticity (platinum-cobalt color code), acidity (expressed as HCOOH), alkalinity (expressed as NH3), carbonyl compounds (expressed as HCOH), content of evaporative residues, total ammonia nitrogen content, alkali metal content, total metals, water content
Chroma, acidity, alkalinity, moisture content, ethanol content. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
During production, only the water content is measured; during sampling, the color and turbidity are checked visually. Other indicators are tested once in a while. The effect of alkali metals is actually not very significant.
Purity of over 98%, moisture content of around 5%, no impurities, other requirements are not very strict
