When the acidic gas stream contains a high amount of oil, it must be sent entirely into the furnace (as environmental regulations are strict). If coke forms in the bed, is there any way to restore normal operation without shutting down the system? Or capture liquid sulfur and remove coke using a net.
The carbon buildup in the bed has caused blockages; the only solution is to shut down operations, as there is no better way. After experiencing this problem once, we added another first-stage reactor, which can be connected in series or parallel with the existing reactor. Only half of the catalyst is installed; it operates in series under normal conditions to protect the normal rotating element.
The oil content in the acidic gas stream is high; ① increase the air supply control to ensure complete combustion of the oil and gas. ②The temperature will definitely rise; at that point, steam is injected into the furnace, in large quantities. At our maximum, we use all 3 DN40 pipes – one with a diameter of 1.0, and two with a diameter of 0.4. It can effectively prevent carbon absorption (water-coal reaction) ③. The liquid sulfur inlet to the flow cell is closed, and discharge is carried out regularly to prevent black sulfur from entering the flow cell. ④Adjust upstream operations in a timely manner. ⑤The system pressure must not keep rising; a likely reason for such an increase is blockage of the capture net (black sulfur powder)
