In the past, I worked hard and was recognized by my supervisors; during one conversation, they asked me how the team leaders and section chiefs were doing. I say they’re all pretty good. That sentence made him very angry; he said I wasn’t telling the truth. Thus, my path to promotion comes to an end as well. It’s not that I’m afraid to tell the truth; it’s just that telling the truth isn’t good either. Now it seems that the future is uncertain; those with connections get promoted by their superiors, who award them various honors and rewards ; I’ve done a lot of work, but there’s been no benefit at all; it’s difficult to get a raise, while deductions are doubled. Don’t know what to do?
Learn from one’s mistakes. Speak in plain terms when talking to people
If there’s no hope here, it’s the beginning of the next hope – never lose heart
Resign decisively. As a leader, it’s fine to think that your subordinates are good; everyone has flaws and can be improved. It depends on the type of team – Pigsy, Sun Wukong, Sha Heshang, Tang Seng, and the Little White Dragon all had their shortcomings, yet they still managed to obtain the sacred scriptures
As a leader, having no insight at all and still going around asking questions in secret – it’s just laughable
You made a mistake: you failed to notice the context in which the leader asked you questions. What the leader needs is not just your response that it’s fine, but rather an understanding of the purpose behind his questions and your attitude toward them.
It’s not just about that one sentence; stop worrying about it. To be honest, am I not still being suppressed? We don’t need relationships; what matters is competence. Other than technical experience, that’s management ability. Besides, even if they have relationships, can’t you create relationships of your own? This is just the way things are in this era. Also, take a closer look at your own shortcomings; thinking that others are not as good as you is just your perspective. Look more at others’ strengths, and ask yourself: do you really have more abilities than them?
You answered correctly. He seems to be an honest person. Don’t worry too much about that; leaders like it when their subordinates report on them. Don’t be disheartened – if he doesn’t appreciate you, someone else will. For now, it’s still necessary to do one’s job well as always; when the management needs someone to carry the load, they will naturally think of you.
Try to make efforts from other aspects; sometimes you work very hard, but your supervisor doesn’t see it; A few words from a subordinate can also lead to a negative perception of you in the eyes of your supervisor; therefore, even if you make an effort, you should try to let your supervisor know, though it might seem a bit pretentious…………
In our area these days, it’s not considered good to do your job well – no matter how well you perform, it doesn’t count. I always help the section leader with his work, but lately I feel very demotivated. It’s fine for others to make mistakes or take time off, but it’s not acceptable when it comes to me. I still do the same amount of work as before, yet I get no benefits at all; I don’t receive any honors either
It’s not because you didn’t speak, but because the manager simply doesn’t want to give you another chance. A wise leader knows how to make use of each person’s strengths and how to motivate them to utilize those strengths, to do their own job well and master their own skills. The company isn’t a prison; if you see an opportunity to leave, just do so. The world is complex; there are many such people and situations, so there’s no need to feel upset.
