The ion membrane may be contaminated by pure water; there are many reasons for alkalinity in the membrane
No major equipment maintenance was carried out over 4 months, and an increase in the carbonate content of the caustic soda produced was accidentally detected. The quality of the pure water was checked; the conductivity was 1–2 μs/cm, with no abnormalities observed. So what do you mean by \"intermembrane alkali\"?
