Issues regarding the pressure tapping methods for orifice plate throttling devices

Guys. May I ask, the pressure tapping methods for throttle devices are corner connection, flange, and radial distance. Conditions for application, when to use it. Is it related to the pipe diameter? My impression is that, as the pipe diameter increases, the pressure tapping methods are corner joint, flange, and radial distance, respectively. Is this understanding correct?
In the past, corner connections were mostly used for pressure tapping in domestic designs, while flange connections were generally used abroad. Currently, flange pressure tapping is the method primarily used for flow measurement. Some of the small-diameter ones use corner connection for pressure tapping.
