In recent years, CNOOC and Sinopec have made significant efforts to develop their refineries, with the scale of hydrocracking operations having increased considerably: Huiyang Refinery has a capacity of 4 million tons, and Dalian Refinery has 3.6 million tons. It seems that Sinopec does not have any large-scale hydrocracking facilities; however, Yangzi Petrochemical has built a facility with a capacity of 2 million tons, while Maoming Refinery has one with a capacity of 2.4 million tons. It’s not clear if there are any facilities with even larger capacities.
