After reinstalling the system recently, I tried to reinstall Aspen, and it took a long time before it was finally installed. Upon opening it, the message “unable to acquire Aspenplus license” appears. Clicking on Details shows “Invalid empty SLM error message”. Following the method suggested by a forum member, I ran the program again as an administrator to generate the license and placed it in the shared folder; I also copied STRG*2.dll into the shared folder. After doing this, it worked normally, but then it stopped working again; the same error message appeared when Aspen was opened. During the subsequent uses, the same message kept appearing repeatedly, preventing normal use. I would like to ask the experts: what is causing this issue, and how can it be resolved? I’ve been driven crazy by Aspen these past few days.
Let’s talk about the most easily overlooked mistake. That LICENCE generator needs to be opened in administrator mode. Think about it – you didn’t open it this way. If it’s not this issue, then there are too many other reasons. It’s hard to say.
That’s right; I’ve run it as an administrator many times and replaced various components as well. Sometimes it works, and other times it doesn’t. I don’t understand either what’s going wrong
I encountered the same problem; it was fixed after I replaced the STRG*2.dll file. Hope it will be helpful to those who come after
