The rated pressure of the chemical dosing pump is 1.0 MPa, but I only need to deliver the chemical to a device that is 5 meters high. What is the actual outlet pressure of my pump? Is it 0.05 MPa plus the pipeline resistance? It’s still its rated pressure of 1 MPa
It’s not the rated pressure of 1 MPa; it should be the static pressure of the medium at a height of 5 m plus the pipeline resistance, right?
With a rated pressure of 10 kilograms, the outlet pressure should reach 10 kilograms. Of course, the pipeline resistance depends on the material of the pipes, the number of bends, and so on
The outlet pressure of a positive displacement pump is determined by the back pressure. If the back pressure exceeds 1 MPA, the pump’s power requirement increases, which may cause it to overheat and shut down; in addition, the bypass pressure relief valve will activate to relieve the pressure and prevent backflow. Generally, backflow occurs first; if the pressure still rises (for example, if the outlet valve closes accidentally), the motor stops. @jiaguoyun
