A question regarding the torch main pipe/drain main pipe

As the title suggests, I’ve been looking at the piping for a project recently, and it’s strange that the flare main/relief main, namely the pipe located after the safety valve, is actually vertical! Then, the various branch pipes connect horizontally. It’s really a bit strange. I was wondering if any friends with extensive project experience have used or seen such pipes? Thank you! (The part of the main pipe with DN250 diameter inside the structure is vertical)

In principle, it is not possible to do such piping with a safety valve that allows the presence of liquids and accumulations; however, typically the safety valve should be located at a higher position, with the pipes sloping on both sides and without any pocket-like areas. It should be connected to the flare header from the upper part.
