I would like to ask fellow sailors: what causes lubricating oil to bubble up during equipment operation?
I found the answer myself; let’s learn from it together*: It is usually a problem with the quality of the lubricant. Qualified lubricants should not produce excessive foam during use, and users should avoid using lubricants that cause foam to form. Another possible reason is that mixing oils can cause foaming; therefore, care should be taken to avoid mixing lubricants with different properties.
