It’s actually complete nonsense; in our company, instrumentation is the least favored field of study – it’s considered dispensable, nothing more than an auxiliary to other fields. The same is true throughout the whole area – having a registration as an electrician is highly advantageous. Have you heard of registration as a instrumentation technician? If I go out and say I’ve spent my whole life working with instruments, who will believe me? It’s better than having an electrician who just started working and doesn’t have a license.
