I have been working on projects related to oil depots and gas stations recently, and as a beginner I have a few questions for everyone: 1. Do gasoline and diesel floating roof tanks with capacities of 2000 m3 and 5000 m3 need breather valves? Is a nitrogen seal needed? 2. What are the freezing points of gasoline and diesel, approximately? 3. Do 2000m3 and 5000m3 gasoline and diesel floating roof tanks require high, low, and level alarm interlocks? (According to clause 15.1.2 of the Oil Depot Design Code, it seems such interlocks are not necessary?) Is there a conflict between clause 5.4.3 of the SH/T 3007 standard, which requires a high liquid level alarm and interlock for a 2000 m3 gasoline tank, and those other provisions? Isn’t it necessary to refer to SH/T 3007 when designing oil depots? ) 4. When transferring oil into the storage tank, can one pump be used for different types of gasoline? For example, can 92# and 95# diesel, as well as -10# diesel and 0# diesel, share the same pump? 5. According to clause 6.3.4 of the gas station design specifications, can 92# and 95# fuels share the same main oil and vapor recovery pipeline? Can this recycling duct be combined with the vent pipe of the gasoline tanks? Can 92# and 95# gasoline tanks share the same vent pipe? Regarding fuel recovery, can 92# and 95# gasoline be recovered into the 92# tank, or should they be recovered separately? Does the gas station have a tank with 3,000 of fuel? A tank this large isn’t meant for use at a gas station, is it?
The oil depots and gas stations are separate; the 2000 and 5000 cubic meter tanks are vertical tanks in the oil depots.

For 2000m3 and 5000m3 gasoline and diesel floating roof tanks that require oil vapor recovery, breather valves must be installed; Floating roof tanks that are not for oil and gas handling or that use nitrogen sealing do not require breather valves. Currently, gasoline and diesel storage tanks are not equipped with nitrogen sealing. 2. The freezing point of gasoline is around -60°C, while that of diesel depends on its grade. 3. Gas tanks with a capacity of 3000 liters or more must be equipped with high liquid level alarm interlocks, while diesel tanks with a capacity of 10000 liters or more must also have such interlocks ; No requirement for low liquid level alarm interlock. 4. Oil discharge pumps: it is best to have separate pumps for each type, but pumps of different types can also share the same pump, provided that the inlet and outlet pipelines are separated by type. Gasoline and diesel pumps cannot be used interchangeably. 5. 92# and 95# can share the same main oil and vapor recovery pipeline, as well as the same venting main pipe. The oil and gas are recovered into tanks with a lower grade.
