The reinforcement ribs on the flat cover of storage tanks come in cross-shaped and radial configurations. When designing, if both configurations meet the requirements, how should one choose? Also, for the reinforcement bars, should I choose rebar plates or I-beams, channel steels, or angle irons?
If both conditions are met, use a cross shape; it’s simple； Reinforcing bars, from front to back: angle steel, channel steel, I-beam ； It mainly relates to costs; angle steel should be used instead of I-beam if possible.
Of course, it’s best to avoid bending the profiles as much as possible. The type of steel to use depends on the need for stiffness enhancement and the load requirements.
