May I ask what the total sulfur content should be after the desulfurization of the crude syngas is completed? Does the total sulfur mentioned refer to the amount of sulfides or the amount of sulfur in the sulfides? ?
Total sulfur refers to the combination of organic sulfur and inorganic sulfur. Inorganic sulfur is primarily hydrogen sulfide, which accounts for 80-90% of the total sulfur, while organic sulfur consists mainly of thiolines, sulfides, and thiophenes, etc.; organic sulfur makes up 10-20% of the total sulfur.
If you are using a full low-temperature conversion process and add shift removal later, the total sulfur content should be above 80–120 in order to prevent the desulfidation of the conversion catalyst.
