Classification of computer folders for piping engineers

I’m a beginner piping engineer. I find that there are too many piping components and elements, along with a wide range of related specialties; moreover, the project files on my computer are in a messy state. I would like to ask those who are experienced in piping engineering how they organize the project files in their computers. Pictures would be helpful. Thank you all for sharing your insights
I don’t know what files you have here. First, create folders by project, then subfolders by specialty, and finally subfolders by file type.
Thank you for your reply. I create folders by project, but the piping-related files seem numerous and messy. The subfolders contain project files such as TDR, project templates, acceptance criteria (processes, equipment, etc.), submission requirements, manufacturer information, my own documents, and archived files. I’m not sure how you organize them – could you show me a diagram? Thank you
