Since some of the orifice plates from previous projects are being reused, their sealing gaskets need to be replaced. At present, apart from the method of measuring the inner and outer diameters of the pipeline flanges, it’s not clear how to determine the inner and outer diameters of the gaskets based on the pipeline inner diameter specified in the orifice plate calculation documents. Could anyone help with this?
I don’t understand, what are the dimensions of the orifice plate gasket? The flange gasket should be of the same size as the flange itself, and its material should be the same as that of the pipe gasket.
If it’s old, with ring chambers, there should be old gaskets; take them off for measurement, and just buy ones that match the actual ones
This time, I only have the core plates and the calculation documents here; there are many pipes on site as well as numerous flanges. The original ones have gone missing! ! If that doesn’t work, just cut a PTFE sheet by yourself; for 2.5 MPa pressure, a metal wound gasket will suffice!
Orifice plate flanges are non-standard, and some of them have uneven surfaces; it’s difficult to find the flange body itself, and if there are measurement errors, cutting may be necessary!
It’s best for gaskets that you consult with a piping specialist, someone from the piping field. You have to decide the size yourself.
Is it a orifice plate device for pressure measurement at flanges? Using a metal wound gasket won’t work; it’s too thick and will affect differential pressure measurement.
