What do air-water cooling and air-air cooling mean for the cooler of a motor, and what are the differences between them? Is it related to the fact that the former has leak detection while the latter does not?
It is an air-conditioning term referring to a heat exchange method; air-to-air cooling involves heat exchange between air, while air-to-water cooling involves heat exchange between air and water. Common chillers exchange heat between cold water and air, then deliver the cool air to the rooms; the air-to-air cooling efficiency is relatively low, so they are not widely used. Air-to-water cooling involves the use of water, whereas air-to-air cooling does not require water; therefore, the former has leakage monitoring while the latter does not.
