Do low-pressure steam pipelines need filters?

Is it required by the standards to install filters in low-pressure steam pipelines? If necessary, what type of filter should be used: Y-type, basket filter, or is it necessary to use separate cylinders? Also, under what circumstances is a split cylinder used? Thank you!
Our low-pressure steam system doesn’t have filters; steam separators (split cylinders) are used to prevent water hammer. Generally, a low-pressure steam separator (split cylinder) is installed at the inlet of the low-pressure steam into the plant’s pipeline system

It depends on the cleanliness of your steam pipes. If it is a carbon steel pipe, a filter needs to be installed ； For stainless steel pipes with relatively clean steam, it is possible to consider not installing a filter.
