Is there any software that can help with this selection? Thank you. For example: ASTM A537M CLASS 1; A671 CD70. I would be extremely grateful if an expert could help me.
Um, are there any experts in welding?
How is it possible that there are no talents in this field?:o:o:o:o
For ASTM A537M CLASS 1 and A671 CD70, the selection of welding materials requires weldability tests to determine.
Things like er70, E7015, 7018. .
Refer to ASME Volume 2: Welding Material Selection requires at least equal strength matching
Component matching, strength matching – that’s what it says in the books, what it states in the documents; that’s how it is. .
The main consideration is strength matching: A537M CLASS 1 and A671 CD70 are equivalent to China’s Q345R steel plates and Q345R welded steel pipes. In terms of strength rating in MPa, they belong to the 500 class; in the US customary ksi unit, they correspond to the 70 class. Of course, the welding materials should have consistent strength; in China, the corresponding wire grade is ER50, while in the United States it’s ER70. The electrodes are basically equivalent, just without the ‘R’ in their designation. Other types of welding processes, such as submerged arc welding, are another matter.
Thank you. What I would like to ask is: based on which specific standards or documents is the selection made?
Does anyone have software for selecting welding materials based on American standard steel grades? Buy at a high price
