There is a customer request to collaborate on the construction of a liquid sulfur storage tank with a capacity of 2,000 cubic meters; we are now trying to estimate the construction costs. The pipeline is already in place; just connect a section to it. I just want to know the cost of building and insulating the tank? And what materials should be used.
The specific composition needs to be examined to determine the material; however, for liquid sulfur, ordinary carbon steel or low-alloy steel is sufficient. About 2,000 cubic meters would require around 110 tons of steel, more or less; there’s no exact calculation.
