There are currently quite a few methods for recycling. For example, defooling is generally carried out through extraction (supercritical extraction, conventional extraction), and there are many types of extractants available. However, the extractant used is not necessarily the one with the best efficiency; rather, it is the one that is easily available. Our company uses medium-oil extraction, which achieves an efficiency of over 90%. There’s also ammonia vaporization; we use atmospheric pressure ammonia vaporization, which is different from the processes used by other companies. For businesses, the choice of manufacturing process is not determined by efficiency, but rather by making use of existing facilities to achieve the required standards with minimal investment (i.e., in the most cost-effective way). Companies like Yunnan Pioneer Chemical Company, which face high costs associated with water procurement and have no wastewater discharge outlets, require methods that are highly effective at removing harmful substances from the water, thereby enabling the complete recycling of the wastewater. Therefore, the choice of process flow is also closely related to the environment in which the company operates.
You are absolutely right. I have been to Pioneer Chemicals. At present, oil extraction is not yet the dominant process; moreover, the solvent recovery in oil extraction relies on alkali washing, which makes the process relatively complex. Additionally, since oil has a low distribution coefficient for phenols, a larger amount of it may be required. I’m not sure if my view is correct; thank you very much for your reply!
